Profession: Marketing officer for Bank of Edmonson County, Brownsville
Education: 2003 graduate of Edmonson County High School, Brownsville; 2007 Bachelor of Science Degree in business management from Gordon Ford College of Business, Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green
Family: My parents are Jerry and Peggy Meredith of Brownsville.
Organizations: Brownsville City Council; Edmonson County Lions Club; vice president of Edmonson County Leadership Alumni; former treasurer of Western Kentucky University Ducks Unlimited Chapter; Edmonson County Republican Party Youth Chair; Brownsville Missionary Baptist Church, chairmen of Ushers; FarmHouse Fraternity Alumni
Experience: I am serving as a city council member for the City of Brownsville, an office I have held since January 2009. While in this office I have worked with our mayor and other council members to balance a budget and expand services without raising taxes on the residents of our city.
Why Running: I am running because I have seen too many politicians elected who have forgotten who they are, where they came from and who they represent. I will listen to the people of this district and be their voice and vote in Frankfort while trying to make positive changes in this district and throughout our commonwealth.
Top Issue Beliefs: The top issue I will be focusing on is the creation of stable, good paying jobs for hard working people throughout this district. I am pro life, a supporter of our second amendment rights and I believe in smaller government. It is my belief that our state and local governments are the closest to the people that they serve and therefore can serve them best.
