Road Superintendent
Keith Kilby Other

Profession: Construction/Excavation

Education: Graduate of Oakdale High School and attended Roane State Community College

Family: wife Paula Heidel Kilby; daughter Lauren Abigail and son Jonathan Lee

Why Running: I am proud to be a life long resident of Morgan County. When I was young I would go to work with my dad and from those earliest days of my life I have enjoyed being around heavy equipment and construction jobs. This is the type of work I have always enjoyed.

I decided against running four years ago in order to allow the present road superintendent gain the years he said he needed to retire. The time is now right for new direction at the road department.

Top Issue Beliefs: A man is no better than his word. I believe as public officials we should manage our jobs with honesty and integrity; that same quality should be found in a persons own life as well.

Safety of our roads is of the utmost importance. I will not only make sure your roads have a good surface but will implement a plan to widen roads and straighten curves which will further protect your family.

There are road grants that automatically come to every county which is what we hear a lot about. As superintendent I will seek grants and funds above and beyond what is automatic.

Finally, the Road Department belongs to you. It is not the road superintendents’ office nor are the roads his roads. Morgan County roads are your roads.

As your Road Superintendent I will welcome your calls and visits at the Road Department. I will always treat you in a courteous, friendly and respectful manner.
